When asked whether painting has been his dream since his childhood,Sanzi starts talking about his childhood.Born into poor living circumstance,Sanzi has been living with his mother since he was a kid."Frankly speaking,I had no resources to make my dreams come true at the time.Painting was just something I did to pass time as a kid.But it gradually grew on me and I started considering it as a career,"says the painter.When he told me he learnt art from an eccentric man who is extremely gifted in painting,his childhood becomes shrouded in mystery.

　　When it comes to inspirations,Sanzi doesn't believe that it is spontaneous.He said pensively,"To me,there are three steps to getting inspired-it is like the Chinese saying"Water surges only to overflow".Firstly,you should acquire strong basic skills.Secondly,you should have sufficient practical experiences,which can be realized by drawing about the world you are living in or doing research and so on.last but not least,learn beyond painting,which means gaining comprehensive knowledge in every field possible.After fulfilling these three conditions,inspirations may suddenly pop into your head like a flash light when you are exposed to external catalysts."

　　The first thing you notice about Sanzi's works is the scholars clad in white clothing who often show up there.When asked about the subtext of these solemn-looking scholars,Sanzi explains that they are manifestations of Chinese philosopher Laozi.He adds as an afterthought,"But I believe that there's a Laozi in everyone and nothing is an issue unless you make it one.Laozi once mused,"Man's nature at birth is good",he says with a smile.

　　Like many of his peers,Sanzi looks forward to leading the rural life.When asked what his favourite city is,he tells me frankly he prefers to live in a simple village.He likes to see various genres bloom in splendor on the art front and hopes that up-and-coming artists can find their own voice.Sanzi's persistence in pursuing art,passion for life and his love for people are vividly shown in the dots and lines of his unique works.
